Living on the first story of the condo, Taura wakes up to a stunning view of Haleakalā before sunrise. The convenience of stepping out onto a large green lawn and being just a 5-minute walk from Charley Young Beach, one of Maui's most beautiful white sands beaches, along with the proximity to amazing restaurants, shopping, and watering holes, were all factors that captivated her.
One of the highlights for Taura was the vibrant nightlife in the area. With an abundance of restaurants and bars, she relished in exploring the culinary and entertainment scene, always eager to try new places.
Taura also cherished venturing "up country" to towns like Makawao or Pukalani, as well as making the journey to Haleakalā to witness the captivating night stars or catch the breathtaking sunrise.
With over a decade of experience, Taura remains dedicated to managing guest experiences at Your Home On Maui. She is passionate about ensuring that you and your family have a wonderful stay and is always available to answer any questions you may have. Taura has had diverse experiences on the island, having worked as a crew member on Don's dive boat, Seafire, and at Tommy Bahama. During her free time, she indulged in the sun and water, relishing in activities like swimming and snorkeling. The enchanting sunsets and the mile-long stretch of nearby beaches have always held a special place in her heart.
Although Taura eventually had to return to Oregon, she decided to transform her beloved home into a short-term vacation rental so that others could experience the same joy and beauty she found there. In 2021, she even returned to Charley Young Beach, her favorite place on Earth, to get married. And in 2022, she and her husband made the move back to Hawaii, now residing on the Big Island, which conveniently allows for easy access to Maui.
